I’ve been deeply immersed in the world of chess since childhood, accumulating over 15 years of tournament experience. My passion for the game led me to embrace coaching, where I’ve spent more than 8 years honing my skills and knowledge.
I thrive on mentoring, coaching, and motivating students, instilling in them a “You can do it” attitude and the belief to “Never give up.”
Experience of 20+ years
I am Utkarsh Lomate, a seasoned chess mentor with a rich history of contributions to the chess community. With a peak rating of 2052 in classical chess and the prestigious FIDE title of Development Instructor (DI), I embarked on my coaching journey in 1999. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of training numerous players, leaving an indelible mark on their chess journeys.
Among my notable achievements, I’ve trained several strong players, including IM Sammed Shete and Anish Gandhi, both Asian and national school medallists.
His coaching journey spans over 3000 hours
Vedant Joshi is not just a Professional FIDE Rated Chess player and Senior National Arbiter; he’s an interactive, energetic, and deeply dedicated coach committed to honing the skills of young chess enthusiasts. With a childhood steeped in chess, Vedant has competed in over 100 tournaments, amassing invaluable experience.
Having attracted a diverse student base from countries like India, the US, the UK, Denmark, Singapore, and Dubai, Vedant’s dedication to sharing his experiences transcends borders. His commitment to enriching his students’ learning experiences keeps them ahead of the curve.
six years of coaching experience
At the age of 19, I found my passion for chess, and ever since, I’ve been captivated by its intricate dynamics. With a belief in sharing knowledge for the betterment of future generations, I’ve dedicated myself to teaching and playing this remarkable game.
My teaching journey spans schools, academies, and personalized training sessions. I’ve had the privilege of instructing both children and adults, tailoring lessons to meet individual needs. Students under my tutelage develop a solid grasp of chess fundamentals while also learning how to apply strategic thinking to their everyday lives. Chess isn’t just a game; it’s a dynamic platform that imparts valuable life skills.
A FIDE-rated Chess Player with a 1256 Rating.
Onkar’s journey in the chess arena includes participation in esteemed tournaments like the Pune and Mumbai Mayor cup. Additionally, he has been honored with selection four times for the Inter University Chess Tournament, showcasing his competitive spirit and dedication to the game.
Onkar’s passion for chess has not just been about playing the game; it’s about the experiences and lessons it brings. His journey in chess has introduced him to diverse individuals, each contributing valuable insights that have helped him refine and enhance his gameplay.
