Meet Sameer Karandikar, an International Rated Chess Player and a certified Basic Trainer for Chess in School accredited by the All India Chess Federation (AICF).
From a childhood steeped in chess to over 15 years of tournament experience, Sameer’s journey in the game has been fueled by passion. With more than 8 years of coaching expertise, Sameer has evolved from offline weekend coaching to pioneering online classes during the lockdown, now conducting an impressive 13-14 batches weekly.

Sameer caters to players of all levels, offering coaching from absolute beginners to advanced stages. With over 50 active students, he provides both group and personalized one-on-one coaching. Leveraging platforms like Zoom, Lichess, and Chesskid.com, his classes are a fusion of training, learning, and practical play, supplemented by in-house practice tournaments and exposure to external competitions.
His mentoring style resonates with the “You can do it” and “Never give up” attitude, fostering a positive impact on the young generation with sincere, honest efforts.
